MY FORMAL EDUCATION TAUGHT ME TO BE A DOCTOR.
MY PATIENTS TAUGHT ME TO BE A HEALER.
The doctor is no more & no less than a technician. The healer is more mysterious, acting as a bridge that leads the individual to greater health.
I invite every patient to trust the doctor & the healer. I ask them to fathom the inherent awesomeness of their bodies & envision a better version of themselves. When they do there is a spark that emerges — like lightening. The spark belongs to no one. It is simply the alchemical byproduct of treatment. In my mind I see it, in my body I feel it. The patient does too. That is the power of a chiropractic adjustment.

Creating a plan that works for you
Cultural forces make chiropractic easy to misunderstand. The good news is that it is an evidence based discipline. That is to say, it is derived from objective data obtained via the rigors of the scientific method. In healthcare, that is the gold standard for practice.
We are patient-centered in our approach. We treat each individual as complex and unique. You and Dr. Geyer will have an ongoing discussion about your evolving needs, desires and preferences. That communication will be the bedrock upon which successful treatment is built.
Most patients new to chiropractic come to treatment in crisis. They have acute pain or a chronic condition has crossed the threshold of what is acceptable. Doctor and patient work together towards resolution of pain and improved function. Once immediate concerns are addressed the focus can shift towards maintaining gains and optimizing wellness. This is the phase in which patients learn, a routine of spinal hygiene generates a cycle of health. With that, a revelation dawns.
Dr. Lenea S. Geyer completed her undergraduate degree at SUNY Albany and recieved her professional training at the University of Bridgeport College of Chiropractic. She specializes in manual chiropractic and instrument assisted treatments.
Dr. Geyer’s greatest joy is her family. She delights in irreverent humor, contemplating questions that have no answers and connecting deeply with other travelers on the journey of life.
